KOREA OPEN GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
a. Only professional golfers, both domestic and international, and amateur golfers meeting the conditions set forth below shall be eligible to participate.
Domestic amateur golfers must have completed player registration as of 2026 in accordance with the Korea Golf Association player registration regulations.
b. Amateur golfers who have not met the required academic standards pursuant to Article 11 of the School Sports Promotion Act shall not be permitted to
participate in the championship.
c. In accordance with the request for cooperation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Education regarding sanctions
on student-athletes with a history of school violence, all amateur golfers must submit the Pledge of No Record of School Violence Disciplinary Action (see Annex 1).
If any disciplinary action related to school violence is imposed after submission of the pledge and before participation in the championship,
the player shall voluntarily withdraw from the championship.
d. All participants shall, in accordance with the purpose of Article 13-2 of the National Sports Promotion Act, submit in advance the Participant Safety Pledge (see Annex 2),
prepared with reference to the Comprehensive Safety Management Manual for Sporting Events jointly developed and distributed by the Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Safety Foundation.
In the case of minors, the signature of a legal representative is required.
The championship shall be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes stroke play.
In the event any round of a tournament shall be rained out or cannot be held for whatever reason,
prizes advertised shall be distributed if at least two rounds (36 holes) of the tournament is completed.

After the above 36 holes are completed, The 60 lowest scorers and any tying for the 60th place shall be eligible for 3rd and Final Round.
Saturday, 23 May 2026 ......................................... Third round, 18 holes
Sunday, 24 May 2026 ......................................... Final round, 18 holes
Lowest scorer over the four rounds will be the winner. In the event of tie after four rounds, champion will be decided by a play-off by stroke play over three holes (Hole #16, #17 and #18). The play-off will start as soon as practicable after the last competitors have finished their round. The competitor with the lowest aggregate over the three extra holes will be declared the winner. If the competitors are still tied having played these three holes, a hole by hole play-off will be played immediately over the 18th hole only until a winner emerges. If the play-off involves more than 2 competitors, those other than the winner will be deemed to have tied for 2nd place regardless of their scores in the play-off. Tie for low amateur shall be decided by a card countback method. The scorecard countback will be based on the score of final round, back nine last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes, eighteenth hole, front nine last six holes, last three holes, ninth hole. If there is still a tie, same method will be used to the 3rd or 2nd or 1st round. In the event of more than two amateur players playing the play-off, the result of the play-off takes priority over the scorecard countback method.
Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A, local rules by the Tournament Committee.
Groups and time of starting will be laid down by the Tournament Committee.
Privilege for the official practice round at Woojeong Hills Country Club is extended to players in the
Championship on Monday, 18 May and Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
All participants must apply online through the KGA website.
Players in the Asian Tour categories must apply through the Asian Tour.
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming.
The KGA may arrange for (i) promotion of the Championship, for radio, internet and television broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Championship or excerpts thereof in any and all media throughout the world, whether now known or hereafter developed, and (ii) the design, manufacture and sale of merchandise which commemorates or memorializes the Championship, throughout the world. By this application, the player consents to the use by the KGA, or persons authorized by the KGA, of her name, likeness, voice and references to her and photographs and other images of her and her play connected with her appearance in the Championship, or any portion(s) thereof, in connection with such media promotion, broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Championship and design, manufacture and sale of commemorative merchandise.
All non-Korean players must submit with entry visa of status ‘C-3-1’(K-ETA) or ‘C-4’ to the tournament office before the first round of championship.
Note 1: Hole-In-One, Albatross and Eagle prizes and awards will be given to the first player to make it during the championship.
Note 2: Course Record and Daily Best Score awards will be divided equally among the corresponding amount.
Note 3: If an amateur wins a special prize or award, it shall be given in accordance to the Rules of Amateur Status.
The Committee reserves the right to alter any of conditions and schedules herein.
